Chuck Berry played a number of shows inside the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill. Owner Joe Edwards and daughter Christine are refurbishing the historic music hall for future generations of musicians.
“Redid all new lighting, so they spent a ton of money doing all new lighting and upgrading some of the sound equipment, which will be nice,” Christine Edwards said.
Blueberry Hill has been a fixture in the Delmar Loop for 53 years.
Musicians, fans, and pop culture enthusiasts have stopped by the restaurant and bar to grab a bite to eat, play some darts, or catch father of rock ‘n roll Chuck Berry when he was a regular in the Duck Room for his 209 performances over the years.
The first show in the new and improved Duck Room will be Charlie Berry, Chuck’s grandson.
