Five years after the closure of Randolfi’s Italian Kitchen, there’s a new restaurant serving up wood-fired pies in the space on the Delmar Loop: In Da Loop (6665-B Delmar).

Military veterans Demadison Fife and Darren Newman opened the restaurant in early February. It uses the same storied oven that once powered The Good Pie and Randolfi’s. The massive oven churns out other menu items as well, including house-made pizza rolls, wings, meatballs, and a cooked-to-order Woodfire Burger. Salad and soup options are also available, including a ‘pizza soup’ (with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, mozzarella, and homemade croutons). Among the appetizers: air-fried toasted raviolis, portobello mushroom dip, and a generous portion of oysters Rockerfeller.
