Sexual Harassment

The University City Loop Special Business District is committed to providing an environment free from sexual harassment. All members and all outside contractors are expected to treat each other with respect. Jokes, innuendo, gestures, remarks and questions of a sexual nature can be interpreted as sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is against the law. Do not assume that others will find your conduct acceptable. Even if your intent is innocent, the person on the receiving end of your actions might feel otherwise. Any unwelcome behavior of a sexual nature is harassment, and is grounds for immediate action by the Board of Directors.

If any member or outside contract employee feels they have been the recipient of sexual harassment, alert a member of the Board immediately. Once a complaint has been registered, there will be an investigation into the matter. If a violation is found to exist, appropriate disciplinary steps, up to, and if necessary, including termination, will be taken to ensure that the behavior is brought to a swift end.
