The City of University City and the Loop Special Business District are excited to announce a special summer event in the Loop — Thirsty Thursday Block Party!
The Thirsty Thursday Block Party will have free live music by local musicians Matt Damian (6:00PM) and Matt McGaughey (7:00PM).
Other activities include an inflatable basketball hoop, beer tasting and art demonstrations at Craft Alliance, facepainting, and food and drink specials for businesses.
As if those activities weren’t enough to bring people to the area, a “The Loop Celebrity Dunk Tank” will feature local business owners and community members in the hot seat. The dunk tank schedule includes:
• 5:30PM – Julia Li, Create Space
• 6:00PM – Sean Ebeling, The Angel Band Project
• 6:30PM – Boo McLoughlin, Craft Alliance
• 7:00PM – Mayor Shelley Welsch
Donations for the dunk tank are encouraged but not required. Each person being dunked gets to donate proceeds to his/her favorite charity.
